Brazilian Butt Lift
Brazilian Butt Lift
What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
Some areas of the body, including the buttocks, can be difficult to contour through diet and exercise. Whether you have lost dramatic weight that has caused sagging or have genetics that didn’t provide a full, curvaceous derriere, Dr. Slenkovich can help you achieve your aesthetic goals and enhance your appearance with a Brazilian butt lift.
A Brazilian butt lift is a form of buttocks augmentation that uses fat transfer techniques to enhance contours, sculpt the frame and relocate sagging tissue to naturally provide a firm, sculpted derriere. Unwanted fat cells are taken from areas of the body, such as the abdomen, hips, lower back or thighs via liposuction. These cells are gently prepared before being injected into the gluteus muscles. The fat cells are injected into the buttocks through tiny incisions providing a smooth, round contour without any unnatural lumps.
The amount of fullness that will result largely depends on the amount of existing fat and tissue in the buttocks, the amount of fat injected and the quality of blood flow to the area.
We encourage you to read our testimonials and view our before and after photos. Individual patient experiences and results may vary.
Dr. Nick’s Technique
Dr. Slenkovich not only focuses on injecting the fat into the buttocks, he also concentrates on defining the areas surround the buttocks, including the small of the back, thighs, hips and base of the butt. By using liposuction in these areas he can enhance the body’s natural curves and refine the appearance of the buttocks creating an elegant contour.
Aside from giving the buttocks more volume, Dr. Slenkovich sculpts these areas that frame that buttock using liposuction to give patients a smoother, more accentuated contour in the areas of the circumferential trunk, flanks and upper and lower back. This framing method gives the appearance of a fuller, shapelier backside without the need to go much bigger. This technique enhances the buttocks as well as accentuates the curvature of the lower back.
Who is a Good Candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift?
This procedure is not exclusive to only those who desire a significant increase in the size of their bottom. Whether you want to maintain your current size, go a bit larger, or get a more dramatic change in size, this procedure is for you. The combination of adding volume with framing the surrounding areas like the midsection and back will enhance the overall buttock, adding a fuller, rounder, sexier shape.
An ideal candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift is:
- in good health
- looking to achieve a fuller backside
- has an optimal amount of unwanted body fat in another area
- has reasonable expectations for the surgery
Potential patients will meet with Dr. Nick for an initial consultation to determine if you are a candidate for a butt augmentation with body sculpting. During the consultation, Dr. Nick will perform an examination, evaluate your medical history and discuss your goals to determine if a Brazilian Butt Lift is the best treatment option for you.
What is Recovery Like?
- The Brazilian Butt Lift is an outpatient procedure but you will need your caretaker to drive you home and be there to support you for a week to ten days.
- Wear your garments as instructed by Dr. Slenkovich. These provide support to the areas where liposuction was performed as well as the buttocks. You may remove them for showers.
- Limit the amount of time you sit directly on your buttocks for the first 1-2 weeks post-surgery. Sit only when necessary with a pillow or cushion to avoid direct pressure on your buttocks.
- Walk as soon as possible post-procedure to reduce swelling and increase circulation to lower the risk of blood clots.
Work: Most patients return to work within two weeks following their procedure.
Sleeping: Avoid pressure on your buttocks by sleeping on your stomach or sides.
Exercise: Avoid strenuous exercise and activities for 4-8 weeks.
- Week 1-2: No cardio or strength training exercises. We do want you walking to continue to get the blood flowing. Yoga-like stretching is also recommended.
- Week 3-5: You may perform light cardio on the elliptical or stationary bike (if the seat is comfortable). Fast-paced walking is also an available option.
- Week 6-8: More vigorous exercise activities may be resumed as long as you have recovered optimally. This includes running, sports activities, and weight lifting/strength training.
