View MoreIdeally, I recommend being at or near your goal weight prior to having a procedure. Losing 20 pounds or more after surgery could change the overall aesthetic appearance of your results, although this will depend on the quality and stability of a person’s tissues.
Maintaining a stable weight is also important before a major body contouring procedure like a BBL because the body cannot “go two directions at the same time” — meaning that when the body is burning up its own fat stores during weight loss, physiologically it can’t optimally heal its tissues. The body is going through intense healing, especially in the first 6 weeks after surgery.

Treatment areas for Botox typically include the forehead, frown lines between your eyebrows (also called the glabella), and crow’s feet.
These are all considered separate treatment areas, and your treatment plan for each should be customized to address your specific needs based on muscle strength and severity of wrinkles/expression lines.

Have you ever wondered what the journey of having breast augmentation is like from start to finish? Our patient shares her honest account of getting breast implants from pre-op to post-op through her RealSelf journal, with her own photos from before surgery and during recovery.
The short answer is that we don’t know the precise answer. The fear is that sitting for too-long of a period of time too-early after surgery could decrease the fat survival and affect the shape results.
I recommend limiting sitting on the buttocks in the first one to two weeks after surgery, and when sitting is required that you sit on a well-padded seat for short periods of less than 10 minutes. If further sitting is required, you can try to sit on a pillow that is under your thighs, although this tends to be uncomfortable for long periods.
