The Cupping Technique for Peri-Operative Therapy
Nerves are very sensitive and after a surgery they don’t like to be pushed down. They actually react more so. Cupping, by creating space, will actually free up the encapsulated or entrapped nerve endings. It creates more space and allows the nerves to heal more readily. Cupping enhances the healing process by increasing the circulation, and blood circulation we consider the breakfast, lunch and dinner to the tissue.
When a tummy tuck patient comes in to see us they will often be over guarding their posture. They don’t think that they can stand up straight. Cupping frees up the deep adhesions, the tissue adhesions, so that the patient can then stand up straighter having greater balance between the front musculature, as well as the back musculature. Cupping will also increase flexibility and tighten tissues that have bound down.
Cupping can be beneficial for a body procedure, a breast augmentation or breast reduction, as well as a facial procedure.
