Do BOTOX® Injections Hurt?
Like all injections, BOTOX injections can hurt a little; however, BOTOX is administered using a very small needle, so you may not feel much more than a prick. A topical anesthetic cream may be applied to aid in your comfort during injections.
How Many Units of BOTOX® will I Need?
It is impossible to say exactly how many units of BOTOX you will need without a prior consultation. The amount of BOTOX you will need will be determined by several factors, including the following:
- The size of your forehead
- Your gender (men tend to have larger features than women and tend to have stronger facial muscles)
- Your goals
- How strong your muscles are/how much movement you have
- Areas you want to have treated
For an estimate based on the areas you want treated, see the Price Estimator (link) tool on our website. Click the areas of concern on your face and follow the steps to receive an estimate.
Will My Face Look Frozen or Unnatural?
Absolutely not. In the hands of our skilled injectors, BOTOX injections are expertly administered, producing elegant, sophisticated results. Our injectors have extensive experience administering facial injectables, and we pride ourselves on delivering natural-looking results. See our injectables gallery or check out our Instagram page to see more.
Is BOTOX® Safe?
Yes, BOTOX is FDA-approved for the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles in several areas, including the forehead, between the eyebrows, and outside of the eyes (often referred to as “crow’s feet”). Beyond cosmetic use, BOTOX is also approved for medical treatments such as relaxing masseter muscles for TMJ, softening platysma bands in the neck, alleviating chronic migraines, and managing hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
When Will I See Results from BOTOX® Injections?
You will begin to see the results of your BOTOX injections within a few days, with maximum results visible in approximately 30 days.
Does BOTOX® Prevent New Wrinkles from Forming?
Yes! Your facial muscles contract hundreds of times each day, which is the root of fine lines and wrinkles. By injecting BOTOX into your facial muscles, you are not only temporarily smoothing fine lines and wrinkles but also preventing them from becoming more deeply etched into the skin and underlying tissue.
Will I Still Be Able to Look Expressive?
Absolutely. While BOTOX reduces the ability of your facial muscles to move, it does not completely inhibit your ability to make natural facial expressions when the product is administered properly.
How Long Does BOTOX® Last?
BOTOX injections usually last 3-6 months. For optimal results, we recommend being treated four times a year. If we use a dermal filler in conjunction with the BOTOX, the filler will have its own timeline for effectiveness.
