What is Dysport®?

Dysport® is a prescription cosmetic injectable that contains a medicinal form of botulinum toxin. When injected, Dysport® temporarily freezes the targeted facial muscles that contract during expressive actions such as frowning, smiling, and laughing. Once these muscles are paralyzed, their contractions can no longer form wrinkles on the skin, leaving the skin smooth, taut, and firm.

Dysport® is FDA-approved to treat glabellar lines (the “11” lines) in the forehead and can be used to treat a wide range of other common types of skin creases, wrinkles, and folds. A good injector can easily produce results that look natural and are unforced, so you will look exactly like yourself, only more well-rested, refreshed, youthful, and rejuvenated.

What Happens After My Treatment?

You can return home or to work immediately after having Dysport® injections. No recovery time is typically required, but you might experience side effects such as bruising, pain, redness, or swelling at the injection sites. These tend to be a non-issue for most patients.

Most clients come in for a brief session of fewer than 30 minutes and then continue on with their daily routine. Results of the procedure are visible within 2 to 3 days, as the product works to reduce the nerve communication to the targeted muscles.
